Statement of Faith
1. The Triune God
We believe in one eternal, all-powerful God who created and rules everything. He exists in three Persons, God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit - equal in glory and united in purpose (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). God created the universe and everything in it for His glory. Jesus Christ, fully God and fully human, came to earth, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and now reigns in heaven. He will return one day as Judge (John 1:1–3, 14; Philippians 2:6–11; Hebrews 1:1–3; Revelation 1:7). The Holy Spirit gives life, convicts the world of sin, helps people believe the gospel, and lives in every believer, helping them grow in righteousness (John 16:8; Romans 8:9–11; Galatians 5:22–23). God reveals Himself in Scripture using masculine titles like Father and Son (Psalm 103:13;
Matthew 6:9; John 3:16).
2. Scripture
The Bible made up of 66 books is God&’s perfect and trustworthy Word. It is fully inspired, without error, and the highest authority in all areas of life, including history and science (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:160; Proverbs 30:5). Scripture interprets itself and clearly teaches everything necessary for salvation (John 5:39; Luke 24:27; Romans 15:4).
3. Creation and Origins
We believe the creation account in Genesis is a true record of real events. God created all life directly, not through evolution or millions of years. The world was made in six literal days (Genesis 1:1–31; Exodus 20:11; Hebrews 11:3). The global flood during Noah’s time was a real, world-changing event (Genesis 7:19–20; 2 Peter 3:5–6). The Bible teaches a recent creation and denies all attempts to mix evolutionary ideas with Scripture (Mark 10:6; Romans 5:12–19).
4. Humanity
God created people, male and female, in His image (Genesis 1:26–27; James 3:9). Every person is valuable, from conception to natural death (Psalm 139:13–16; Jeremiah 1:5). Adam was made from dust, and Eve from Adam (Genesis 2:7, 21–22). All people come from them (Acts 17:26). Humanity is one race, and every person deserves dignity regardless of background (Galatians 3:28; Colossians 3:11). Modern ideas like critical race theory and intersectionality contradict biblical truth (James 2:1–9; Ezekiel 18:20). Marriage is between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6). Any sexual activity outside of this design—including homosexuality, adultery, and gender reassignment—is sin (Romans 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9–11; Hebrews 13:4). Gender is determined by God at conception and cannot be changed (Genesis 5:2; Deuteronomy 22:5; Psalm 139:13–16). These truths should be shared with compassion, pointing people to forgiveness in Christ (Ephesians 4:15; John 8:11).
5. Sin
Adam and Eve’s disobedience, sin entered the human experience, bringing death, suffering, and corruption into the world (Genesis 3:1–19; Romans 5:12). As a result of the Fall, all humanity is born into a fallen condition, with an inclination toward sin. All people eventually sin by their own thoughts, desires, words, and actions and therefore fall short of God’s righteousness and stand in need of His grace, forgiveness, and salvation (Psalm 51:5; Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23). Yet because we are all equally made in God’s image and equally fallen, we are also all equally able to receive salvation through Jesus (Isaiah 53:6; John 3:16; 2 Peter 3:9).
6. Salvation
Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ, who died and rose again to save us from sin (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Peter 1:3–5). We are saved by God&’s grace, not by our own efforts—through faith in Jesus alone (Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:5–7). To be saved, we must repent of sin, believe in Jesus’ death and resurrection, and receive Him as Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9–10; Acts 3:19; John 1:12).
7. The Church
All who trust in Jesus are part of His body—the Church (1 Corinthians 12:12–13; Colossians 1:18). Believers are called to join a local church, worship together, love one another, and share the gospel with the world (Hebrews 10:24–25; Acts 2:42; John 13:34–35). Those who reject Christ will face eternal punishment, but believers will enjoy eternal life with God (John 3:36; Matthew 25:46; Revelation 21:1-4).
8. Christ’s Return
Jesus Christ will return personally and physically, just as He promised (Acts 1:11; Matthew 24:30; Revelation 22:12). He will raise the dead, judge all people, and fully establish His kingdom (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; 2 Timothy 4:1; Revelation 20:11–15). Believers will live forever with God, while those who rejected Christ will face eternal punishment in hell (Daniel 12:2; John 5:28–29; Revelation 21:8). Satan will be judged and cast into hell forever (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10).
